Gutter Grate Technical Specifications

Leaf Solution™ (Gutter Grate) is available in 5” and 6” sizing and comes in 6 different colors and is comprised of 4 pieces:

Body (Inside/Outside) - The product body components are fabricated from a 3000 series aluminum which is .025” thick.

Micro-Mesh Cloth - The wire cloth is medical grade stainless steel and has a life expectancy of 60+ years. It was strategically woven with thousands of holes per square inch to accept large volumes of water, yet woven tightly enough to to keep out the smallest particles of debris. This mesh WILL NOT allow anything but water through!

Membrane - The expanded metal is fabricated from a 1000 series aluminum and begins as a .032” aluminum sheet, but as it is slit and expanded, increases to .062” across the strand.

An important fact to note is that in the manufacturing process, we hem the stainless steel mesh around the edges of the expanded metal prior to the roll forming/crimping process. This yields lateral tension in the screen and once crimped, the mesh cannot be removed or become delaminated.

Our patent pending dip technology separates us from any other product. These 3 inward dips act as “speed bumps” – slowing the water down to allow the product to work even when heavy debris is on top of the mesh. Try it out! Take dirt, leaves, pine needles, oak tassels, or any other debris and grind it in. The water will still go into the gutter and not overflow the product!

The Gutter Grate base is covered with a fine stainless steel membrane *(patent-pending) that prevents any particle larger than 100 microns (1/2 a grain of sand) from entering your gutter. A single pine needle won't get past Gutter Grate! The Gutter Grate membrane has a clog resistance rating of "9" (10 is the highest) it is highly unlikely that dirt, scum or pollutants will ever clog Gutter Grate! (Most screen, filtration type, and reverse curve gutter products are very susceptible to debris penetration, or to debris lodging within the products' water receiving areas, and normally achieve no better than a clog resistance rating of 1 to 4)
